The majority of PSAC members in the Program and Administrative (PA), Technical Services (TC), Education and Library Science (EB) and PSAC-UTE (Canada Revenue Agency) units voted in favour of their respective preliminary agreements. The four units represent nearly 110,000 federal public service employees who have gone beyond Canadians to support Canadians during this pandemic. We are nearing the end of the voting period to ratify the new interim agreements for the PA, TC, EB, SV and PSAC-UTE groups. The PSAC held ratification votes for pa, TC, EB and PSAC-UTE members between August 24 and September 29, and from August 31 to October 5 for SV members in each psac region. In the coming weeks, PSAC will meet with representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the rating agency to sign the new collective agreements. With the exception of retroactive monetary provisions, new contractual terms come into effect on the day of signing. Now that the interim agreement between PSAC/UTE and CRA has been approved by the Governor of the Council and the Governor General of Canada, the parties will sign the new collective agreement on Friday, November 13, 2020. The signing of the new collective agreement brings this round of negotiations to an end. We look forward to continuing to work closely with PSAC-UTE and to support the interests of workers and Canadians in future collective bargaining.

All information is available on www.ontario.psac.com; If anyone has any additional questions, I can help them get a timely response so they can vote on this agreement. The new collective agreement will enter into force on November 13, 2020 and will apply from November 1, 2016 to October 31, 2021 included.
